Why these rules matter

Make space for genuine connection.

Dating involves trust, personal boundaries, and different expectations. Following shared standards helps members make choices, communicate honestly, and treat each other with dignity.

These guidelines apply to how you use LoverBirds, including profiles, likes, matches, messages, photographs, attachments, and other available community features.

By using the platform, you are expected to follow these guidelines alongside the applicable Terms of Service and other published policies.

Speak to other members with kindness and consideration. Different opinions, backgrounds, interests, and relationship preferences are not a reason to insult or belittle someone.

Be polite, even when you are not interested.
Accept that someone may not want to continue a conversation.
Never use threats, intimidation, or degrading language to control another member.

Respect consent and boundaries

Every member has the right to decide what they are comfortable sharing and how a connection develops. A match, like, or previous conversation does not mean someone has agreed to anything else.

Respect a person's decision to say no or stop communicating.
Do not pressure people into sharing photographs, personal details, or meeting in person.
Never share another person's private content without their permission.

Honest profiles help people make informed decisions about the connections they choose to pursue.

Represent yourself honestly and do not impersonate another person.
Do not use someone else's photographs or identity to mislead members.
Do not create accounts to deceive, manipulate, or exploit other people.

No harassment or hateful conduct

LoverBirds should be a place where adults can interact without being targeted, threatened, or abused.

No stalking, repeated unwanted contact, threats, or targeted harassment.
No hateful attacks or demeaning conduct directed at people or groups.
Do not use alternate accounts to evade blocks or continue unwanted contact.

Protect privacy

Personal information deserves care. Think carefully before sharing details about yourself or anyone else.

Do not publish another member's address, phone number, private messages, or identifying information without permission.
Do not threaten to expose private information or content.
Use account privacy settings and available blocking or reporting tools where appropriate.

Keep conversations and shared content appropriate

Use messaging, photographs, attachments, and other communication features responsibly and lawfully.

Only share content you have the right to share.
Do not send threatening, fraudulent, exploitative, or abusive material.
Respect other members' stated boundaries and the platform's applicable content rules.

No scams, manipulation, or exploitation

Connections should not be used to trick people into giving away money, account access, or sensitive information.

Do not impersonate support staff or other trusted people.
Do not use deceptive schemes to obtain money, financial details, passwords, or verification codes.
Be cautious when someone pressures you to act urgently or move a conversation elsewhere.

Help keep the community useful and trustworthy by using features honestly and respecting the experience of other members.

Do not misuse reporting, matching, messaging, or other platform features.
Do not attempt to access another person's account or private information.
Do not interfere with platform security or attempt to bypass legitimate restrictions.
